1. Overview - Our Mission

To inspire creativity, talent acquisition, joy, and human imagination worldwide. TalentE is a platform for talent seekers, talented creators, and connections. We maintain Community Guidelines to ensure a safe and vibrant environment, evolving them to address emerging risks. Our content moderation approach is based on four pillars:

• Removing violative content that breaks our rules - we have rules regarding harmful content that we do not allow. If someone has severe or repeated violations, we will also ban the account.
• Age-restricting mature content for adults (18+).
• Setting For You feed (FYF) standards for appropriate content promotion.
• Empowering our community with information and safety tools.

2. Community Principles

Our content moderation principles are guided by the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, the Santa Clara Principles, the International Bill of Human Rights, and the Convention on the Rights of Children. We carefully consider trade-offs when these principles may conflict with each other.

• Preventing harm and enabling free expression: Our focus is on community safety and inclusivity while promoting free expression. We restrict content only when necessary to minimize the impact on speech and remove harassing behavior that inhibits creator speech. Free expression is balanced with its potential harm, and not all content is guaranteed to be amplified in the For You feed.
• Fostering civility and respecting local context: Civility and respect are essential for positive interactions in our community. We allow social critique of public figures while being civil to each other online. We recognize and respect cultural norms by working with regional experts and local communities, ensuring a balance between global guidelines and regional applications.
• Championing inclusion and protecting individual privacy: We celebrate diversity and value different cultures, identities, and experiences, striving to provide equal protection and equity. Individual privacy is respected, and we safeguard personal information from exposure or invasion.
• Providing transparency and fairness: We believe in clear notice of our policies and consistent application. Our enforcement efforts are transparent through our Transparency Center. While being fair and evidence-based, we provide notice of enforcement actions and an opportunity to appeal content removals, LIVE suspensions, and account bans.

3. Safety and Well-Being

We are committed to providing a safe and positive experience for users under 18, referred to as "youth" or "young people." To use TalentE, users must be 13 years or older, with additional age restrictions in certain regions.

• Protecting Youth: We do not allow content that may harm young people, such as child sexual abuse material (CSAM), bullying, dangerous activities, or exposure to mature themes and substances. Accounts found violating these rules will be banned, along with any associated accounts.
• Developmentally Appropriate Experience: We take several steps to ensure a safe environment for self-exploration, including limiting access to certain features, using default privacy settings, and making content by those under 16 ineligible for the For You feed. Certain actions, like direct messaging, have age restrictions.
• Youth Safety Policies: We have strict policies to promote youth safety, addressing issues like CSAM, body exposure, seductive performances, and sexualized posing. Any content violating these policies is not allowed on the platform.
• Violent and Hateful Organizations: We do not tolerate violent and hateful organizations or individuals on our platform. If we find any such actors, we will conduct a thorough review, including off-platform behavior, which may result in an account ban.
• Youth Safety: We prioritize a safe experience for young users and prohibit youth exploitation, abuse, and harmful content. Survivors discussing their experiences are provided with an "opt-in" screen.
• Sexual Exploitation and Gender-Based Violence: We stand against sexual exploitation, gender-based violence, and non-consensual acts. Reporting options and support are available for those affected.
• Human Exploitation: Our platform is not to be used for human exploitation, including trafficking and smuggling. We provide a space for sharing stories related to these issues.
• Harassment and Bullying: We promote respectful expression and do not tolerate harassment, bullying, or doxxing. Critical comments of public figures are allowed within certain boundaries.
• Dangerous Activities and Challenges: While we embrace fun and creative trends, safety is our priority. We do not allow showing or promoting dangerous activities, dares, games, or tricks that could cause significant physical harm. Content depicting activities likely to be imitated or leading to moderate physical harm is age-restricted or ineligible for the FYF. We provide warning information to manage your TalentE experience. Please note that content showing dangerous activities with significant physical harm, inappropriate use of dangerous tools, or consumption of harmful substances is strictly prohibited. Activities likely to lead to moderate physical harm or performed by professionals in public spaces are also not allowed in the FYF. However, ceremonial and cultural performances involving weapons are permitted.
• Sensitive and Mature Themes: TalentE offers diverse content ranging from family-friendly to more mature. Considering the global community's diversity, we approach potentially sensitive content with developmental and cultural considerations. To respect local context, exceptions may vary across regions.
• Sexual Activity and Services: TalentE allows discussions about sexuality, reproductive health, and sex education while prohibiting explicit sexual activity, arousal, fetish, and sexual service offers. Exceptions exist for reproductive health and sex education content.
• Nudity and Body Exposure: We respect cultural norms and celebrate body diversity. TalentE does not allow nudity, uncovered genitals, nipples and areolas of women and girls, or significant body exposure of young people. Some regional exceptions exist for medical, educational, or culturally accepted practices.
• Sexually Suggestive Content: While creativity is encouraged, seductive performances, allusions to sexual activity by young people, and explicit sexual narratives are prohibited. Some artistic content with sexual references is allowed.
• Shocking and Graphic Content: TalentE prohibits gory, disturbing, or extremely violent content. Some content may have age-restricted or "opt-in" warnings, such as human or animal blood, professional fighting, or mildly graphic material.
• Animal Abuse: We promote respect for animals and prohibit animal abuse, cruelty, neglect, and trade. Educational content about animal abuse is allowed, excluding graphic material.

4. Integrity and Authenticity

We prioritize reliability, originality, and authenticity to create a trustworthy TalentE community on and off the platform.

• Misinformation: We do not allow inaccurate, misleading, or false content causing significant harm, regardless of intent. Content may be ineligible for FYF if it involves conspiracy theories or unverified emergency information.
• Civic and Election Integrity: We prohibit misinformation related to civic processes, voter registration, and election outcomes.
• Synthetic and Manipulated Media: Synthetic content must be clearly labeled. Real people's likeness in synthetic media is restricted, except for public figures in certain contexts.
• Fake Engagement: We do not allow artificial boosting of engagement metrics and will remove fake followers or likes.
• Unoriginal Content and QR Codes: Only post original work; we do not permit content violating others' intellectual property rights or containing unoriginal material and QR codes.
• Spam and Deceptive Account Behaviors: Covert influence operations, spam, impersonation, and account circumvention are not allowed. Parody/fan-based accounts are allowed if disclosed in the account name.

5. Privacy and Security

Protecting your privacy and maintaining platform security is vital to us.

• Personal Information: We prohibit content sharing personal information that may lead to harm, such as stalking, violence, fraud, or identity theft.
• Platform Security: Unauthorized access, obtaining sensitive information, or abusing the platform's integrity is not allowed. Stay cautious of suspicious links and requests for personal details.

6. Accounts and Features

You must be 13 years or older to have a TalentE account. Some regions have additional age limitations. Accounts found below the minimum age will be banned.

• Enforcement Actions: Violations of guidelines can lead to account bans. This includes severe content violations, repeated violations, circumvention, and dedicated accounts for prohibited activities.
• Government, Politician, and News Accounts: Public interest accounts are treated differently but still subject to enforcement for severe violations. Repeated less severe violations may lead to temporary ineligibility for FYF and posting restrictions.
• External Links: Sharing harmful links or QR codes is not allowed. Violations will result in link removal or account ban.
• Comments and Direct Messages: Users must be 16 or older for direct messages. Violations in comments or messages may result in content removal, direct message restrictions, or account bans.

7. Enforcement

• Detection and Reporting: We aim to remove guideline-violating content or accounts before they are seen or shared to reduce harm. Content is first reviewed by technology against guidelines. Potential violations are automatically removed or flagged for further review by our trust & safety team, especially if popular or reported. Community members can report violations in-app or on our website. Let us know if you find violative content, and learn more about our enforcement efforts in our Transparency Center.
• Notice and Appeals: We provide notifications to users if they violate our rules. If your content or account is banned, you'll be notified in the app. If you believe the decision is in error, you can appeal in the in-app Safety Center and track its status.
